Plumbing & heating in Walpole

Walpole divides between its older parts and its newer ones about as cleanly as a town can. East Walpole grew around the mill on the Neponset and has the tight, older housing that goes with a mill village; the rest of the town filled in a good deal later.

The older end brings the familiar mix: long-serving heating systems, supply pipe that has been quietly closing up from the inside, and waste arrangements that were perfectly legal when they went in and are not how anyone would do it now. None of that is urgent until it is.

The newer end is mostly maintenance and replacement, plus the occasional remodel where somebody wants a second bathroom in a house that was plumbed for one.
