Plumbing & heating in Pawtucket

Pawtucket is where De Rosa Bros are based, so it is the shortest trip we make and the housing we know best. Much of the city is triple-deckers and mill-era single families, and the plumbing in them tells a consistent story: original galvanised supply that has closed up from the inside, cast iron waste, and a boiler that has been repaired more times than anyone has counted.

That is not a problem, it is a specialism. Knowing before we arrive that the pressure complaint on the third floor is probably the supply pipe rather than the fixture saves everybody an hour.

Multi-family buildings bring their own question — whose pipe is it, and which unit is the leak actually coming from. We are used to working that out without opening three ceilings to find out.
